SENIOR PHYSICAL THERAPY SPECIALIST – Injury Rehabilitation and Post Surgical care

Job Description Summary

The Senior Physical Therapy Specialist will administer therapeutic interventions in various settings such as in.-patient, out.-Patient and/or home care environments that will restore body movements and agility, manage movement disorders, relieve pain, and/or prevent disability arising from diseases, injury, or lifelong conditions in order to enable individuals with physical limitations to resume a relative level of normalcy and participation in the community.

Minimum Education Required

Master’s degree in physical therapy is required

Years of Experience

more than 15 years of experience required (minimum of 2 years post MS)

Operational Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide total and direct physical therapy service patients requiring advanced skilled and complex interventions with a variety of illnesses impairments and disabilities
  • Assist mentor staff members in developing their clinical reasoning and critical thinking knowledge and skills through targeted guidance when needs are identified
  • Assess the need for targeted staff development programs in area of clinical to ensure effective patient care
  • Evaluate patient care supplies equipment and Provide input to supervisor

Professional Certifications Required

Valid BLS Certification.
