Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Charge Nurse – Informatics to join our team. This role bridges clinical nursing expertise with healthcare technology to enhance patient care, streamline workflows, and support data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing and optimizing nursing informatics initiatives, training nursing staff on digital health systems, and ensuring compliance with best practices in healthcare informatics.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the integration of informatics solutions into nursing practice to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize electronic medical records (EMR) and other digital health systems.
  • Train and support nursing staff in the effective use of informatics tools, ensuring seamless adoption and compliance.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of informatics solutions on patient outcomes and nursing workflows.
  • Act as a liaison between clinical teams, IT, and hospital administration to drive informatics initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, data security, and informatics best practices.
  • Participate in policy development and quality improvement initiatives related to nursing informatics.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN); a Master’s Degree in Nursing Informatics or a related field is preferred.
  • Valid UAE nursing license.
  • Minimum of 8 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 2 years in nursing informatics or healthcare technology implementation.
  • Strong knowledge of Electronic Medical Records (EMR), clinical decision support systems, and healthcare data analytics.
  • Experience with Oracle Cerner Health systems is highly preferred.
  • Thorough understanding of JCIA standards and their application in clinical documentation and healthcare informatics.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven experience in training and educating clinical staff on digital health solutions.
