Job Description
The Registered Nurse & Laser Therapist plays a key role in delivering specialized laser treatments, with a primary focus on safe and effective laser hair removal and skin therapies. The role involves conducting patient assessments, explaining procedures, obtaining consent, operating and maintaining laser equipment, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory, safety, and infection control standards. The therapist provides pre- and post-treatment care instructions, manages patient expectations, and ensures a high level of patient satisfaction.
Alongside laser services, the nurse also supports general clinical functions, including assisting physicians during consultations and minor procedures, administering medications and treatments as required, maintaining accurate patient and treatment records, and contributing to overall patient care. By combining advanced laser expertise with professional nursing practice, the role ensures high-quality, patient-centered care and enhances clinic service standards.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate clinical expertise in caring for patients receiving treatment.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient needs on an ongoing basis.
- Accurately interpret clinical information, take appropriate action, and report changes promptly.
- Create treatment regimens and perform procedures efficiently with professionalism.
- Organize patient flow within and outside the hospital, escorting ill patients when required.
- Conduct skin analysis and perform laser procedures (hair removal, pigmented lesions, thread veins, facial rejuvenation, acne treatment, chemical resurfacing, wrinkle reduction).
- Practice all necessary safety precautions when performing laser procedures.
- Teach patients about skin care after or between treatments.
- Deliver patient and family education as needed.
Qualifications
- UAE Medical Health Authority License (DHA) as a Registered Nurse and Laser Technician
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing
- Has worked in hospital or similar setting for at least 2 years
- Qualified Laser Therapist/ Specialist with 2 or more years’ experience in cosmetic laser treatments
- Dermatology or Cosmetic Surgery industry experience is preferred
- Proficient in basic computer applications, including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), with the ability to manage digital documentation and communication effectively
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, patients, and stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage unexpected issues and identify when to escalate.
