🧬 We’re Hiring: NGS Laboratory Technician | Sharjah
Geneticlab is a growing genetics diagnostics lab in Sharjah, and we’re looking for a dynamic Laboratory Technician to join our small but ambitious team.
This isn’t a role where you’ll be boxed into one task. As a growing company, we need someone versatile who’s comfortable wearing multiple hats, jumping between sample prep, sequencing runs, QC, and supporting the broader lab operation as we scale.
What you’ll be doing:
🔬 Running NGS workflows for NIPT, Microbiome, WES from sample accessioning through library prep and sequencing
🔬 Owning QC at every stage to keep our results accurate and reliable
🔬 Keeping documentation and sample tracking airtight (LIMS)
🔬 Troubleshooting on the fly and flagging issues early
🔬 Pitching in across the lab wherever needed – inventory, process improvements, cross-training with the team
What you bring:
✅ Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biotechnology, or related field
✅ 2+ years of hands-on NGS experience, ideally in NIPT and/or WES
✅ A valid UAE healthcare/laboratory license (DHA/MOH/SHA)
✅ Solid molecular biology fundamentals (extraction, library prep, QC)
✅ Illumina platform experience preferred
✅ A proactive, adaptable mindset – you’re energized by a growing environment, not intimidated by it
✅ Strong attention to detail and ownership of your work
