The General Practitioner is responsible for providing high-quality primary healthcare services, including the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of a wide range of medical conditions. The GP plays a pivotal role in promoting health, managing chronic diseases, and coordinating patient care while delivering an exceptional patient experience. This role follows M42’s physician framework for evidence-based clinical care and professional excellence.
Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all age groups.
  • Conduct detailed patient assessments, physical examinations, and medical evaluations.
  • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor patient progress.
  • Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with clinical guidelines and regulatory requirements.
  • Promote preventive healthcare through screening, vaccination, and health education initiatives.
  • Identify patients requiring specialist referral and coordinate continuity of care.
  • Interpret laboratory, radiology, and diagnostic test results.
  • Manage common medical emergencies and stabilize patients when required.
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate medical records.
  • Ensure adherence to infection prevention, patient safety, and quality standards.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary care discussions and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Support organizational goals through effective utilization of healthcare resources.
  • Participate in rostered shifts and on-call duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Medical degree (MBBS, MBChB, MD, or equivalent).
  • Completion of an accredited internship program.
  • Eligibility for or possession of a valid DOH License as General Practitioner.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of post-internship clinical experience.
  • Experience in primary care, family medicine, emergency medicine, or internal medicine settings.
  • Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and patient engagement abilities.
  • Commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.
