 Endoscopy procedure scheduling. (Emergency Procedures).Arrange the endoscopy room for procedure & make sure there are no errors and that they’re appropriate and safe for individual patient.Perform all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors.Prepare Endoscopes and Accessories.Assist in Diagnostic Procedures like;Esophagi GastroduodenoscopyColonoscopyFlexible SigmoidoscopyBronchoscopyAssist IN Therapeutic Procedures like;Esophageal Variceal Banding, Sclerotherapy InjectionPolypectomy- Upper / Lower GI ScopeyBalloon dilatation for stricturesHemo – Sclerotherapy, Argon Plasma Coagulation, HemoclipForeign Body RemovalPercutaneous Endoscopic GastrostomyGastric Ballon InsertionEndoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography – Cannulation, Sphincterotomy, Stone Extraction, Stricture Dilatation, Stone Crushing, Stenting.Biopsy, CLO test, and H Pylori Culture testPatient PositioningPrepare of ERBE MachinePrepare of Water Irrigation SystemDisinfect & Store of Endoscopes and AccessoriesMaintain records for the Disinfection and Culture of Endoscopes and ETD Machine.Patient data – Uploading and printing using Endo base SoftwareMaintain Endoscopic Accessories Store RecordPrim of ETD machine and ERBE MachineEnsure the maintenance and proper operation of equipment and supplies in the work areas.Treat patients and their families with respect and dignity. Identifies and addresses psychosocial, cultural, ethnic, and religious/spiritual needs of patients and their families. Demonstrate ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions and deal with several abstract variables.Monitors compliance with policy and procedure.Provide patient privacy and maintain confidentiality.Provide a safe environment free from any form of discrimination and harassment.Aware of patient rights.Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors. 
 Treat patients and their families with respect and dignity. Identifies and addresses psychosocial, cultural, ethnic and religious/spiritual needs of patients and their family.Work accordance with the documented OSH procedures and instructions, specific responsibilities.Be familiar with emergency and evacuation procedures. Notifying OSH Hazards, incidents, Near misses and issues and assistance with the preparation of risk assessments, incident reports. Comply with Waste management procedures and policies. Attend applicable OSH/Infection control training programs, mock drills and awareness programs.Use of appropriate personal protective equipment and safety systems.Comply with reasonable OSH instructions, policies and safe working procedures. Use of appropriate personal protective equipment and safety systems. Be familiar with emergency and evacuation procedures. Not willfully or recklessly endanger anyone’s health and safety Assist with the preparation of risk assessments. Report OSH Hazards, incidents, near misses and issues. Reduce, Reuse, Recycling of waste as much as possible. Attend OSH Trainings, awareness programs and mock drills. Participates in the OSHMS audits, inspections, ensuring standards are maintained.PCI is everyone’s responsibility. All staff are required to read and implement the NMC PCI Policy and Strategy in an effort to maintain the highest possible standards of cleanliness at all times, thus reducing the risk of infection in patients, staff and visitors. The strictest hand hygiene, 5 moments of hand hygiene, bare below the elbows and environmental care, will be expected of all staff, including the post holder, at all times.

Qualifications

QualificationBachelor’s Degree in Endoscopy Technology
ExperienceTwo years as Endoscopy Technician in a Hospital setup
Knowledge /Technical SkillsAbility to demonstrate an excellent knowledge in Endoscopy Technician field.Excellent Communication skill with good command in writing and speaking in English.Follow Specific instructions with high degree of accuracy during procedures.Excellent computer Skills.
